So I know that I haven’t done a newsletter for almost a month, but not because I haven’t been writing. In November, I wrote a 50,000 word story as my National Novel Writing Month project. It’s not the first time I’ve attempted doing this, but it's the first time I actually hit my goal. I’m still working on getting in shape to share with everybody, but stay tuned as I figure that out. If November was the Month of Writing, December is currently the Month of Making It Better.
One of my favorite things about how much better my life has been since I self accepted is how I’ve been able to start writing again. For years I just couldn’t focus my mind long enough to write even short blog posts, let alone something like a 115 page story. I started this newsletter last fall, and I’ve enjoyed writing them, even if sometimes it has been easier to get it out than others.
Although I started this newsletter in November 2019, this past Saturday was the one year anniversary of my coming out publicly. It’s been a wild year, and suffice it to say that it hasn’t gone anywhere near how I had hoped it would. And honestly? Not all of that wild stuff that happened was bad, even if so much of it has been.
I hope to get another newsletter out before Christmas, but if I don’t I wish everybody who celebrates happy holidays, as lonely and out of the ordinary as they may be. But before I go, a special gift!
